Our name serves as a permanent reminder of our first step on this journey. We engineer tactile, high-end essentials not just for comfort, but to cast a light on inclusivity, spread awareness, and share meaningful support with individuals navigating life’s challenges due to disabilities. For us, fashion isn't just about what you wear—it’s about how you see the world, and how you care for the people in it.
MATI New York socks utilizes the Unified English Braille (UEB) system, which is the international standard for English-speaking regions, including the United States.
Our journey began with a close friend’s daily frustration. Because of a visual impairment, matching his socks in the morning was a constant hurdle, especially since the raised dots on his clothing would always wear out, crack, or completely fall off in the wash.
Yes! We are a small group of friends who refuse to look away from everyday challenges. MATI New York was founded to support a community navigating daily hurdles due to disabilities, stepping in to offer a hand whenever it is needed most.
